Baz Bamigboye joined Deadline in May 2022 after 30 years as chief entertainment correspondent and columnist for the Daily Mail. He has worked on a variety of other Fleet St & local London papers writing about film, theatre, general news and crime. He spent three years as a correspondent in NYC. He covers Oscars, Golden Globes & BAFTA & other showbiz ceremonies; regularly attends film festivals at Cannes, Toronto & Telluride. He has been a London Film Festival judge; a Sky Arts South Bank Show Awards panelist; and an awards judge for The Evening Standard Drama Awards and The Stage. He is a recipient of a Special British Independent Film Award and winner of a prestigious British Journalism Award. For 15 years he was a Trustee of London’s Kiln Theatre.
